Main Purpose:
To lead and manage the UK analysis team. To validate equipment and products throughout their lifecycle in accordance with contracted requirements and to influence their design in a timely manner to ensure they are more generally fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Analysis team and associated paperwork
Management and maintenance of Analysis software tools in liaison with the IT department
Management of Analysis contractors on and off site
Liaison with the SC Australia Analysis team on best practice and sharing resource
Management of analysis project data
Report writing and approval
Presenting results to internal and external customers
Holding and documenting timely analysis reviews and providing input to wider project reviews
Scheduling of relevant resource
Ensure adherence to company procedures/processes
Liaison with all Project team members
Ensure compliance with and the application of relevant analysis standards and codes of practice
Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes and systems
Other Responsibilities:
Undertake or provide any training that is necessary within your role.
To follow the company’s procedures and policies including Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental, Equal Opportunities, IT and Security.
To ensure Personal Data is managed in compliance with company policy
Work Based Competencies - Essential
Managing staff
Structural analysis using first principles and FEA
Proficient in the use of Hyperworks suite (including Hypermesh, Radioss, Optistrut, LS Dyna) or equivalent software (Hyperworks conversion training will be provided if required)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Good presentation skills
Good communication skills (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers
Generally computer literate and able to adapt to different software
Good report writing and project information recording
Able to constructively review, check and approve reports
Able to resolve basic computer problems with minimal help
Able to produce system/product verification plans and procedures to allow detailed integration and verification testing of the developed system/product
Work Based Competencies - Desirable
Experience of PDM
Experience of the design and function of automotive systems.
Vehicle testing using data logging and other instrumentation.
Use of ERP and MRP systems
Knowledge of drawing standards including BS 8888, geometrical tolerancing, welding specification etc
3D Cad skills preferably with SolidWorks
Use of MS Project
Proficient in the use of Pamcrash, MotionSolve), HBM nCode DesignLife

Project Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Liaison with Project Managers.
