Vehicle Technician Full-time, 6 month fixed term contract

Working for an award winning, progressive, family run group of companies, the successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary, friendly working environment and great benefits package. An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Dunkeswell Site.   Main duties to include: 
  • To follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings relating to vehicle manufacture, repair and assembly.
  • To carry out servicing, inspection, maintenance and diagnostics of Supacat products to the highest standard.
  • To be quality driven and ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • To ensure the scope and timing of assigned tasks are understood, completed as per requirements and in accordance with relevant working procedures.
  • To work in accordance with current quality procedures and advise any errors or variances to the Workshop Manager.
  • To assist in the maintenance of clean, tidy and safe work areas.
  • To be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including weekends at sometimes short notice.
  • To ensure all company health & safety and environmental policies and standards are adhered to at all times.
  Knowledge, skills & experience required:
  • Excellent literacy & numeracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent recording / documentation skills
  • NVQ level 3 in motor vehicle repairs or recognised equivalent
  Personal Attributes:  Be able to work with and without supervision and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Be aware of time pressures, while ensuring that the appropriate levels of quality and documentation are delivered.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent customer services and care.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to support the nature of work undertaken by Supacat.

Based at our Dunkeswell site, the selected individuals are expected to fit into already established teams, work to the highest of standards and be able to evidence experience and or qualifications in the relevant fields. 1 x Stores person (Goods Receipt) 2 x Warehouse Operatives (Sales / Production Orders) 1 x Warehouse Operative (Sales Dispatch Admin) Warehouse and stores accounting experience is essential, and individuals should be familiar with processes, computer systems for data entry and administration. Full time contract is based on a 40 hour week which may cover some weekend work when required.
