First-class Engineering Team

Supacat prides itself on delivering customer first complete lifecycle engineering. Our aim is to be a reliable, strategic partner our customers can trust to not only get the job done but provide a design that delivers an effective and efficient solution.

Our global engineers provide an innovative, rapid service covering all elements of vehicle design, prototype build, test and trial production and through life support. And our services include system integration and complete automotive packages.

We also use local partners where appropriate to ensure we deliver our customers the best in class solutions to meet their requirements.

Design

Supacat’s innovative solutions are designed to meet the most demanding requirements for off-road performance and specialist system deployability.

Our specialist team uses solid modelling and strength analysis tools to rapidly generate designs that meet functional and production needs. Team skills cover: vehicle electronics; vehicle dynamics; conventional, electric and hydraulic drive systems; and all vehicle structures.

Prototyping

Supacat’s bespoke workshops for vehicle prototyping have full fabrication, assembly and paint facilities. Our design department works closely with our experienced trials and workshop teams to build and validate designs in a rapid, controlled process.

Trials

Validated against UK Ministry of Defence terrains, Supacat’s off-road test track is used to assess performance and durability. We also have extensive experience in using external test facilities for a full array of trials, including electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and systems integration.

Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)

Supacat’s full Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) service provides spares, training and technical publications across all fleets.

Aided Engineering (CAE)

Supacat utilise a range of advanced analysis techniques to inform the design process, reducing component mass, design times and project costs. Techniques ranging from linear static analysis to non-linear dynamic event simulation are used on a wide range of projects throughout the business. The team offer capability in structural optimisation, crash analysis, composite modelling, blast simulation and multi-body dynamics.

Technical Publications

We have an in-house technical publications team of experienced authors, illustrators and graphic designers. We specialise in delivering accurate, comprehensive and innovative technical information. Our services include the production of military support publications, interactive technical information, desktop publishing and graphic design. We also produce training materials and concept artwork as well as 3D rendering and interactive animation. We have successfully supplied documentation to broad range of published industry standards to both UK and overseas customers.

Through-life Support

Supacat offers an exceptional in-country through life support system. We provide a combination of support centres, local field support representatives, global parts dispatch and a network of local partners.

Spares

With over 1,000 Supacat vehicles operating worldwide, we understand the importance of supplying high-quality spare parts to our customers. To provide an efficient one-stop service, we have invested in IT for manufacturing resource planning, stock control and warehousing. After checking each component for quality, we ship over 130,000 spare parts a year.

We monitor our stocks and supply chain to ensure spare parts are made from superior-grade materials, are reliable and competitively priced. Only Supacat produced or procured parts will do.

Repairs

Supacat’s dedicated repair and refurbishment workshop includes a clean room for component repairs and reconditioning, a fabrication unit with welding and cutting facilities together with machining systems for repairing damaged parts and reverse-engineering obsolete parts. Our two paint spray booths can accommodate vehicles of up to seven metres long.

If required our mechanics can repair vehicles at the customer’s site, whether in the UK or overseas.

Post Design Services

Supacat’s through-life support includes the management of new, upgraded and obsolete parts and assemblies. Our configuration control of in-field vehicles ensures correct decisions on repairs, and the lowest possible costs.

Our post-design services ensure equipment meets changing requirements. As part of this support, we use regular user-group meetings to identify common issues and solutions.

Contractor Logistic Support (CLS)

Customers can benefit from Contractor Logistic Support (CLS), either Contracting for Availability or contracting from a range of specific services. This enables them to have a decider-provider relationship and the freedom to focus on other issues with the confidence that their equipment is being professionally maintained.

Our innovative CLS processes and services significantly increase availability and reduce through-life costs.

Field Support

Supacat can deploy experienced Field Service Representatives (FSR) or Field Support Teams (FST) to provide on-site support and ensure the highest levels of vehicle availability. Each FST is supported by a dedicated project manager, based at our head office, who ensures efficiency, effectiveness and minimal disruption to the customer.

Our equipment management information system optimises information sharing, simplifies fleet operations and maximises on-site efficiency, control and through-life support. In addition our support website can be set up to provide customers with personalised, secure information.
